Gibber™

June 11, 2020

The name comes from the Aboriginal word for stone and the gibber is what is left when sand, picked up by the desert winds, polishes and smooths the stones. The result can often be vast gibber plains, none more so than Sturt’s Stony Desert in the far north of South Australia, believed by some to be the most inhospitable place in Australia.
